Kim,
I just wanted to tell you that you meant so much to me and I didn't realize how close we were until you were gone. I never saw you with a frown on your face and you always hugged me everytime we saw each other. You have made me realize not to take anything for granted and to appreciate all that I have because you never know when it will be gone. You also taught me to look at everything with a smile, a lesson I learned from you early on. I remember in Under Milkwood how we sat right next to and leaned on each other. I remember when your crystal ball broke and how you covered it so well. But even then, you had a smile on your face. Kimyetta, you were and are a beautiful person and I will never forget you.
Love always,
Garrett G.
Dear Kimyetta,
In a time of so much hate, pain, racism, discrimination, and war, there are people who have a beautiful outlook on life despite all of these things, and you were one of them. You were a happy, loving, and mother-like figure. You were a comforting soul, and a friendship to cherish. It pains me to face the fact that you are gone, yet it lifts my spirit to know that "were" and still "are" in a better place unknown to us. I miss you dearly with all my heart.
Love,
M. Thornton

| Poems |
Tears line our eyes,
and somewhere, deep within us,
the tears line our hearts,
steady drops of grief that express
our sorrow, our loss.
Through these tears,
we sing our song,
not a song of desolation,
but of Victory,
for our Angel on Earth
is ascended into heaven.
Our guardian Angel
now walks among us all,
and her image,
untarnished, unblemished,
bears reminders to us all.
Her memories live on,
a guiding light, and
we cherish them,
our stronghold to our sister.
Through us she can live again,
and through us, my friends, she will.
