Bayou Bluegrass Band

Bayou Bluegrass is a band composed of an array of musical experiences that fuel the members to create a unique melodic product. Pleasant memories from the past, refreshed by new arrangements, allow this group to express their enjoyment of the music in a way the audience can feel. With a strong lead singer and solid harmonies the result is a distinctive take on bluegrass standards as well as Cajun and folk favorites.

Some band members (John and Lynn) have been playing music together for many years. The rest of the band came together as a result of friendships formed in a variety of local jam sessions. In its current configuration, Bayou Bluegrass has been playing together for about 3 years. All of the members hail from the deep south: Vince Abadie (banjo), Jim Bookter (mandolin), John Ezell (upright bass), Marguerite Gravois (fiddle), Lynn Menard (guitar) and Paul Pittman (resonator guitar).
